Three Hills is the name of the farm and the observatory is on the highest hill at its centre.

Originally back in 1973 the observatory housed a 8" SCT Celestron. In 1981 I purchased the optics of a Meade 16" DS Newtonian. The mount is a German Equatorial with 2" steel shaft on both axis. In November 2005 I ordered a Meade 14" SCT OTA and Canon 20Da with lenses

Comet Mc Naught was the most spectacular comet I had seen in 30 years of astronomy. January 2007 was a month to remember.
Captured with Takahashi FS102 and F.R. using Canon 20Da at ISO 400

These images were taken with Sigma 18-200mm lens at 18mm on Canon 20Da.
